IS IT BAD IF MY CHILD HASN'T YET LEARNED TO READ AND WRITE BEFORE ELEMENTARY?

šŸ‘¼šŸ» Is it bad if my child hasnā€™t yet learned to read and write before elementary? šŸ‘¼šŸ»

怌 A new school-year is starting soon. Howeverā€¦... 怍

Even though our kids are soon to be elementary students and weā€™re happy about it, we still have some concerns and anxieties as well right? Especially when it deals with studies. I had my fair share of worries since my son was also not remembering how to read and write before starting elementary school. However, despite such concerns, as soon as he became an elementary school student, miraculously, he absorbed more and more words and letters. It is at that moment I was wholly convinced of one thing. We should give our children the growth and learning experience appropriate to their age. There is a thing called ā€˜Familiarizing the reading and writing of words and charactersā€™ in the first grade curriculum back at my home. What Iā€™m trying to say is, a preschooler has a learning capacity of a preschooler and elementary schoolers also have their own learning capacity. So it isnā€™t very good to force your child something that isnā€™t quite ready for his or her age. You donā€™t need to rush at all.I recommend you to be considerate of your preschool age child and try to focus on developing their self-reliance and self-confidence. By strengthening these foundations, Iā€™m sure the children will have a fun experience at their elementary school.#DEARMOMShajimarimom
